Season 2

When the remnants of a body are found hidden in a river, DCI Cassie Stuart and DS Sunny Khan are faced with an impossible investigation. David Walker disappeared in 1990 at the age of 34. Only scraps of potential leads remain, but relentless work leads Cassie and Sunny to four people. Each has a connection to Walker, and a painful secret that might have driven them to murder. They are the pieces of the jigsaw Cassie and Sunny must solve. But the harder they try to put this picture together, the more blurred it becomes. It’s a case that will test their relationship in unexpected ways.

When workmen carrying out carriageway repairs on M1 uncover human remains in the central reservation, Cassie and the team investigate.

Season 4

6 episodes · 2021

The fourth season opens with the discovery of a dismembered body in a scrap metal yard, which the team believe has been stored in a domestic freezer for thirty years. Season 5

6 episodes · 2023

Jessica James succeeds Cassie Stuart as DCI, after two interim leaders. The detectives are on a mission to uncover the mystery behind an unsolved murder that occurred 39 years ago. Beneath the ground of a demolished house, the bones of the victim are found. With this evidence, the modern police team open a case to unearth the history that has remained buried for decades. Four main suspects emerge, and as their dark past is unraveled, the truth behind the events of the crime are finally revealed.

Season 6

When suspected human remains are uncovered on Whitney Marsh, Jess and Sunny are immediately called to the scene.
